About MACC
MACC is a group of commercial and non-commercial organizations based in the United Kingdom (MACC WORLD LTD), Canada (MACC WORLD LTD), and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DR Congo) (MACC EUP). A group of entrepreneurs and international experts with extensive experience and knowledge in agriculture and related industries, the environment, infrastructure, finance, and government.
MACC engages the rural productive force in activities that promote green economies, resulting in a long-term shift in production methods that will halt and reverse deforestation. The target age group (19-55 years old) accounts for 50% of the population in the beneficiary regions and 70% of the high-performing workforce.
Achieving the 2030 agendas
MACC increases forests and biodiversity by combating rural poverty through the development of agroecological and agroforestry practices with communities and by structuring the carbon market to benefit communities in the Congo basin.
Bottom Up Approch
MACC establishes a bottom-up inclusive approach to private-public partnerships with local communities, intra-national and national governments. We flip the decision pyramid and put the beneficiary communities at the top, with wealth creation as the central process and public input as support.
Impact and integrity
MACC ensures a financial impact for households while also producing high-quality carbon credits. Our community economic model allows us to settle agricultural households, increase production yield, and establish an ecosystem with production off takers. MACC RDC oversees execution and redistributes profits from the sale of carbon certificates to the communities.
